Leading nonprofit organizations are characterized by visionary executive leadership, engaged boards of directors, and clearly articulated missions against which they can measure success. We believe successful organizations require strong infrastructure to be effective and sustainable.

The Bonfils-Stanton Foundation believes in “engaged philanthropy” – a collaborative, hands-on relationship involving technical assistance, counsel and guidance to support and complement our financial investments. We recognize the importance of timing in our strategic partnerships, and we focus on identifying opportunities and leverage points in our efforts to enable measurable and sustainable results.

The Foundation’s goal is to help high-performance nonprofit organizations move from “success to significance,” making lasting contributions to Colorado residents and communities, and serving as models for others in the sector.

The Foundation supports Colorado’s nonprofit sector through investments in three categories: operating support for specific programs, projects and initiatives; capital projects; and for capacity-building.
