Julia Stone
Julia Stone joined the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation in October 2026. As the Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Treasurer, her primary responsibility is the oversight of all finance and investment activities. Julia has a deep background in non-profit accounting and operations and through her experiences hopes to bring a unique perspective to the Foundation’s financial support of the arts, culture and leadership work.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Julia was the President and COO for The Kempe Foundation in Aurora, Colorado where she oversaw the finances, investment portfolio, compliance, facilities, and advised the CEO and board on capital allocation and long-term strategy. Her career began in public accounting and was deeply influenced by her time auditing all sizes of non-profits and local governments across Colorado.
Julia is a CPA and a graduate of the University of Kentucky where she was a member of the Women’s Swimming and Diving team. She has served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, and various school and community committees. She currently serves as Investment Committee Chair of the Augustana Foundation.
In her free time, Julia enjoys swimming, attending her kids’ sporting events, and being a spectator of the arts. As a long-term Denver resident, she has attended many community music and art events and looks forward to expanding her depth and breadth of connection to this rich and vibrant community.
